EDIT #1: im changing the horn idea. horn shape will still indicate gender, but instead of masculine being straight, it's going to curve down. feminine will be curved up, and gender neutral/nonbinary will be straight inbetween.

i also want to make this an open species eventually but i need to prepare better for it and make a group probably.

this is candy. she's basically the example poof dragon who guides people new to them. 

anyways, so the gender thing with poof dragons is simple: is no set number of genders, it's more of a spectrum. the more curved the horns are, the more feminine, and the straighter the more masculine. their horn shape can change, often or once or twice. well, you may be wondering: if they don't have a set amount of genders, how can they reproduce? Well, they DON'T have sex (which also means, they're all romantic, ex: panromantic, hetreoromantic, etc. they don't have sex, therefore they don't have sexual feelings). what happens, is two dragons take a bit of their poof, put them together and into an incubator, which later creates the egg! the newborn dragon's markings don't resemble their parents,; each dragons markings are unique to them. Their poof is like hair that floats around! It's soft and fluffy, and it contains helium, which is why their wings are small, becus they don't need them to be airborne, for just for control. They can dye their poof, stick things into it, etc. ill make a thing all about their poof eventually.
